Stevns' business profile is characterised by a variety of small and medium sized companies. Stevns is not a traditional business municipality and the business potential here is mostly in the experience economy and recreational activities.

Existing businesses are found in industries such as wholesaling, entrepreneurial activities, logistics, real estate, IT-services and business services such as consultancy, catering, cleaning etc. Business services and entrepreneurial businesses are today the two most common groups of businesses in Stevns. The municipality is also home to businesses within the financial sector and metal manufacturing.

The future profile of Stevns will be heavily influenced by its excellent location in relation to Copenhagen and its potential as a recreational area. The Zealand region is working on industrial policies and models aimed at helping the region capitalise on the growing market for wellness.
